Carving Pumpkins

So I have been slacking on the posting but for good reason. I am now in Medical Transcriptionist training so that is taking up a lot of my free time. And if Clint walks in and sees me messing around on the computer when I am supposed to be doing homework he gets after me. I am so far behind!! We carved pumpkins and that was back when Clint was still in training and gone all of the time but he was home for the weekend before Halloween so we did them then so that he could join in the fun. The kids had a good time, eating the pumpkins mostly but they also had fun watching mommy almost throw her pumpkin across the porch because it took me like an hour to carve mine. The finished results were very nice looking though. Yeah for pumpkins!

Hanging Out At Home

As some of you know Clint is gone a majority of the time right now. So when he is home it is like Clintappaloosa. The kids are all sorts of crazy and always wanting to be with him and so we basically are all trying to have his attention all of the time. I am not as bad as the kids though usually. The other nice thing is when he is home he takes a whole bunch of pictures so here are just a couple from this past weekend. The first ones are the kids in their church clothes. Then there are the cute bath pictures and I didn't even have to sensor them! Then there is Haley stuck in her toy and getting mad! Crazy kids!

We love Popsicles!

Riley has just recently started to like cold things in his mouth. He use to not like anything cold to even touch his face but now he will eat ice cream and things every once in a while. So Grandma MacArthur was up here this last week and we bought some Popsicles. One night as I was cleaning up dinner Grandma decided to try a Popsicle for the kids. Riley immediately grabbed it out of her hands and started eating it all by himself! He was biting it and everything (which I can't even do)! Haley also loved it of course but she likes anything that is food so that wasn't a big surprise. They were both a huge mess and so sticky but it was worth it to see Riley holding it correctly and eating it all by his big boy self!

Motorcycle Riding

Clint has a little dirt bike that he likes to ride around occasionally when he has time so one day he was out playing with the kids outside and got bored and decided to give the kids rides. They of course love anything that is loud and goes (boats, 4-wheelers, etc.) so this was a perfect activity for them. At first he just had Haley on but then Riley was whining and wanting a ride so he put both of them on. Does that look safe? I think not!

Fisherwoman

Of course Lake Powell is a lot about fishing and since my family are big fisher people than we decided Haley needed to start since she was one year old and all. So Daddy helped her catch this little blue gill. She thought it was funny to touch it and make it wiggle. Ewww!

Lake Powell

The MacArthur family reunion in September of this year was the ever popular Lake Powell. We have been doing this family reunion since I can remember but since everyone is older now we have been branching out and doing some different things. But it was a Lake Powell year this year. It was very fun, as always.

Here is Koren and Isabelle with Isabelle's bloody nose. She fell right on her face poor thing!
My Haley Rae with a devious look on her face and crazy pigtails.
Riley and his drink at lunch time.
Aunt Steff and Riley in his chair. He loved to sit in the sand with his feet in the water and splash!

Koren and Micah, whose new nickname is screamer. (sorry Tyler you've been outdone!)
What mom?

Sleepy boy

Riley has his days where he decides naps are for babies so he won't take one. On this particular day he was so tired in the afternoon that he decided a nap wouldn't be so bad. The only problem was that he was in the middle of the floor at my sister's house with her five kids running around but that didn't seem to bother him. He was also sucking on his hand while he slept. So sweet!

Riley + Boat = Love!

One day we were getting the boat ready for Lake Powell and Riley wanted to be out there with Clint. So Clint grabbed his chair and stuck him in there and put him up on the seat, and then he came inside and told me to come and look out the window. All I saw when I looked out the window was the top half of Riley's head so I had to take pictures because it was so dang cute! Later that day he went boating with Daddy and Grandpa Rogers and Clint just put his life jacket on him, stuck him in his chair, and put him up on the seat and he rode around like that all afternoon on the river. He loved it!
